It can be tricky to end your narrative in a way that impresses the reader!  You want them to think about your journey, and even learn something from it.  To do that, you need to make sure they know how you felt when it all finished.  Another trick of the trade is to tell them something that you learned, because maybe it will get them thinking that they can learn from your experience too. 

Some clue words to alert your reader that your ending is important enough that they should remember it are:

  1. This made me realize
  2. This was important because
  3. Before (this and this happened), I used to (think or do whatever) but now I (new thing you think or do)
  4. So the lesson I learned was

Do you have a story to tell, that someone else might benefit from?
